Ferris Will Be Missed

Ferris was the first decision we made together as a married couple.   We decided we wanted a friendly gray boy kitten soon after we married.   We brought Ferris home from the animal shlter on July 15, 1996 with his huge ears and runny eye.   He was with us through all our firsts...  first apartment.. first home..  first pregnancy...  first job change...     He was with us for 16 and a half years as a great pet.     Today we had to let Ferris go and return his spirit to God.    His last few days were spent eating wet food (his favorite), laying by the fire in the evening, and getting his chin scratched by the family.    He will always be our first family pet.
