Well, we officially have entered high school! The girls have completed marching band camp for the summer. The weather was hot and dry, but they had fun, met a lot of new friends, and caught up with many of their old friends. The band and Starline dance team worked on the first half of their contest show. Vista Ridge placed third in the state in last year's marching competition, and they want to do even better this year. This year the theme is "Danza De Las Rosas" (Dance of the Roses) which features Latin themed music.
The band and dance team put on a short performance of what they have done so far for the parent's last night. They looked and sounded great, and it should be a fun show to watch this season!
And at the end, they completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and challenged all their sister bands in the district.
